Privacy Policy

Pre-Synth ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website at www.pre-synth.com (the "Service"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding it.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the Service:

• Google account information — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We do not receive your Google password.
• Usage data — we track how many reports you have generated and downloaded in order to enforce usage limits and maintain your download history.
• Generated files — PPTX presentations and Excel workbooks produced by the Service are stored on our servers temporarily (see Section 5).
• Session cookie — a signed, encrypted cookie is stored in your browser to keep you logged in for up to 8 hours. It contains no sensitive information beyond your Google account ID.

We do not collect financial data, payment card numbers, or any information beyond what is listed above.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate you via Google OAuth 2.0
• To identify your account and track your usage
• To display your name and profile picture in the UI
• To maintain your download history and allow re-downloading of recent files
• To enforce usage limits and manage access to the Service

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the Service.

3. Data Storage

Your account information (name, email, profile picture, usage count) is stored in a secure database hosted on Railway (railway.app) and is retained for as long as you have an active account.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except as required to operate the Service:

• Google — identity provider for login (see Google Privacy Policy)
• Railway — cloud hosting provider where data is stored
• Yahoo Finance — stock data source (no personal data is sent)

5. Generated File Retention

PPTX presentations and Excel workbooks generated by the Service are stored on our servers for 7 days from the date of creation. After 7 days, files are permanently and automatically deleted from our systems. Your download history entry will remain visible in your Profile but the files themselves will be marked as unavailable.

We recommend downloading your files promptly after generation. We do not guarantee file availability within the 7-day window in the event of technical failure.

6. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time directly from your Profile page. Deleting your account permanently removes:

• Your name, email, and profile picture from our systems
• Your entire download history
• Any generated files still within their 7-day retention window

Account deletion is immediate and irreversible.

7. Security

All traffic is encrypted via HTTPS. Session cookies are signed and cannot be tampered with. We do not log or store your Google OAuth tokens.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for professional use and is not directed at anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
